SCB Academy brings the world-class course, “Learning How to Learn: Powerful Mental Tools to Help You Master Tough Subjects”, to Thai learners for the first time, aiming to enhance learning skills and eliminate language barriers.
Siam Commercial Bank’s SCB Academy has partnered with Dr. Barbara Oakley, creator of the globally renowned course, which has over 3 million learners, to develop and produce a Thai version. In creating this version, Ms. Nisha Nipasuwan, Senior Specialist in Academy Innovation and Meta Learning at SCB Academy, has adapted the content and examples to fit the Thai context, making it easier to learn and apply. Additionally, the course includes expanded content on brain learning, deepening understanding of neurological concepts for practical application.
Mr. Worawat Suvagondha, First Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer of Siam Commercial Bank, emphasised the urgent need to develop "learning skills" for Thais due to rapid changes and the quick obsolescence of knowledge. He stated that mastering the skill of learning how to learn and using it frequently until it becomes a permanent habit will be highly beneficial. This course is suitable for all ages, including students, working adults, and retirees. Bringing this course to Thai will have a significant impact on individuals, organisations, and the country, particularly for Thai youth. Instilling this skill early on will enable them to use it throughout their lives, contributing to the development of quality human resources that will drive organisations, society, and the country forward sustainably.
