“Brighter Future”, a youth club pioneering the online library and educational book publishing, has partnered with “Brightly Beaming” to expand educational opportunities to rural schools across Thailand.
Together, they donated over 1,400 educational books, valued at more than 200,000 baht, to the World Vision Foundation of Thailand under the project “Lighting up learning for a bright future.” The books have been distributed to schools nationwide, with the following club representatives involved in the donation:
- Mr. Vachiravich Phantratanamongkol, Founder and President of “Brighter Future,” Bangkok Patana School
- Master Nabhat Ngamtrakulpanit, Bangkok Patana School
- Miss Anisa Ngamtrakulpanit, Bangkok Patana School
- Miss Alisa Sangiambut, Bangkok Patana School
- Mr. Teeramet Yupoonsup, Bangkok Patana School
- Miss Pornnapat Klipbua, International School Bangkok (ISB)
The handover ceremony was graciously received by Ms. Chutchanok Trirattanavatin, Resource Development Director of the World Vision Foundation of Thailand. The event recently took place on the 6th floor of the foundation’s headquarters.
Ms. Chutchanok expressed her gratitude, stating, “On behalf of the World Vision Foundation of Thailand and children in remote areas, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the youth of ‘Brighter Future’ for producing and donating English learning materials for underprivileged children. Meeting these young individuals today has reinforced my belief that giving can start at a young age and evolve into something far greater. Although these students come from different schools, they share a common goal: to improve access to quality education for vulnerable children in remote areas. They have utilised their skills to extend love and goodwill to children in various communities. The collaboration and determination of everyone in this group have resulted in a project that is both valuable and beneficial to society.”
She added, “I am deeply appreciative of the generosity that these young people have shown toward the children under the care of the World Vision Foundation. Their efforts demonstrate that ‘giving’ transcends age and methods; anyone with the will to help can make a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children.”
The donated books include reading materials and activity books with translations into Thai and Chinese. Some editions are also available in Hindi and Spanish. The foundation has distributed these books to various schools across all four regions of Thailand to support the learning needs of kindergarten and primary school students.
Mr. Vachiravich Phantratanamongkol, also known as Turbo, Founder and President of “Brighter Future,” shared that his inspiration stemmed from his early experiences using libraries. Combining his passion for learning with programming skills, he created an online library to assist children with limited access to educational resources. He said, “I have always believed that libraries and books are vital for children, as they represent the future of our nation. Our group began by creating the ‘Brightly Beaming’ online library to support children regardless of their geographic location. We later expanded to publishing physical books for children in areas where internet access remains limited. Moreover, each book is embedded with links and QR codes, allowing schools to access the online library for free and download unlimited educational materials.”
The publishing of these books has been supported by fundraising activities such as the “Library to Life” book sales campaign, the “Librarython” book creation competition, and doughnut sales supported by Krispy Kreme.
Turbo added, “We hope to secure long-term funding to expand our programs and continue helping children and communities.”
In addition to supporting schools, “Brighter Future” has books shelved in the National Library of Thailand, Neilson Hays Library and other school libraries. The books have also reached libraries abroad, including the San Francisco Public Library and Palo Alto City Library, ensuring accessibility for Thai children abroad.
Beyond the partnership with the World Vision Foundation of Thailand, “Brighter Future” has collaborated with other organisations to improve education, including the Lutheran Christian Foundation, which oversees the “Home of Praise” nursery in Khlong Toei, the Thai Red Cross Children Home and The Children of the Forest Foundation at the Thailand-Burmese border. These collaborations aim to create equal educational opportunities for all children.
