Chiang Rai’s serene skies are about to come alive as Singha Park hosts the International Balloon Fiesta 2025, the largest of its kind in ASEAN. From 13-17 February 2025, this annual spectacle promises a kaleidoscope of colours, captivating cultural performances, and unforgettable experiences for couples, families, and adventure seekers alike.
This year, over 30 hot air balloons from 13 countries will grace the northern skies, making it a visual treat for all. The event, now in its seventh year, is celebrated for its signature "Love Balloon" activity, where 15 lucky couples will soar above Chiang Rai’s picturesque landscapes in a once-in-a-lifetime romantic flight.
For thrill-seekers and competitors, the international balloon competition offers an exciting challenge with a cash prize of over 100,000 baht. Spectators, meanwhile, can enjoy dazzling light-and-sound balloon displays and a vibrant lineup of cultural showcases, including a majestic Khon performance of the Ramayana, featuring 160 performers from Wang Na and Chiang Rai.
Adding to the festive spirit, some of Thailand’s favourite music artists, including BODYSLAM, MILLI, THE TOYS, PARADOX, and many more will perform nightly, ensuring the event is as melodious as it is mesmerising.
This year also introduces Chiang Rai Brewtopia, a paradise for coffee aficionados, offering specialty brews in the region’s cool February weather. Families can delight in the kids’ zone, local food stalls, and exciting workshops, while adventure enthusiasts can explore Singha Park’s sprawling flower fields, tea plantations, and outdoor activities like ATV rides and zip-lining.
