Samut Sakhon, Thailand – Huhtamaki (Thailand) Limited, a global leader in sustainable packaging solutions, welcomed H.E. Mrs Kristiina Kuvaja-Xanthopoulos, Finnish Ambassador to Thailand, to its flexible packaging facility in Samut Sakhon. The visit showcased blueloop™ innovations, which replace non-recyclable packaging, and reinforced Thailand-Finland cooperation in advancing sustainable packaging development.
Operating in Thailand for nearly 30 years, Huhtamaki Thailand provides world-class, eco-friendly packaging solutions. During a factory tour, the company highlighted blueloop™’s role in supporting Thailand’s transition to a circular economy and the adoption of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations.
Following the tour, the Ambassador participated in Huhtamaki’s Think Circle roundtable on “Collaborating for Sustainable Packaging in Thailand.” Established in 2020, Think Circle fosters discussions among policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders to drive circularity in packaging.
