Nestlé Thailand, a leading food and beverage company that has been in Thailand for over 130 years, continues to support good health and nutrition among Thais by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Nutrition Association of Thailand (NAT) under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. This partnership aims to improve health literacy, promote healthy behaviours, and support research to enhance health and nutrition knowledge.
Under this MoU, Nestlé Thailand is providing research grants to the NAT for three years to support studies on health and nutrition in Thailand. Additionally, a special grant for 2025 will fund research focused on promoting healthy habits and balanced diets to enhance sustainable well-being and reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Nestlé Thailand and the NAT have committed to jointly promoting health and nutrition literacy in Thailand, with the shared goal of ensuring better health and nutrition for the Thai people.
Ms Salinla Seehaphan, Corporate Affairs Director, Nestlé (Thai) Ltd., said, “Nestlé recognises the importance of promoting good health and well-being sustainably through a balanced diet. In addition to offering tasty and nutritious high-quality products, we now have more than 100 products certified with the Healthier Choice Logo, featuring lower sugar, sodium, and fat content. Over the past 16 years, we have also continued to organise activities to share health and nutrition knowledge with Thais nationwide. It is an honour for Nestlé to officially sign this MoU with the NAT to promote good health and nutrition among the Thai people. We hope that our partnership will advance nutrition research and help Thais reduce NCDs in the country.”
Associate Professor Dr Rewadee Chongsuwat, President of the Nutrition Association of Thailand, added, “The NAT’s mission is to support and encourage good nutrition in Thailand, and we collaborate with various organisations to achieve this while working to prevent unhealthy habits among Thais. Nestlé has been a long-term partner in building and sharing health knowledge with the Thai community. This MoU takes our partnership to the next level, allowing us to leverage each other’s expertise to benefit the people of Thailand through health and nutrition education, which will play a significant role in the country’s sustainable development.”
