Habitat for Humanity International has made the decision to separate from the national organization in Thailand – Habitat for Humanity Thailand, effective 16 October 2024. The two entities have parted ways and Habitat for Humanity Thailand will no longer be part of the Habitat for Humanity network and will stop all Habitat programs and fundraising.
As a result of the separation, the Thai national organization will no longer call itself “มูลนิธิที่อยู่อาศัยประเทศไทย”, or use the word “Habitat” or “Humanity” or any name, brand, or expression that is similar to “Habitat for Humanity” or “มูลนิธิที่อยู่อาศัย”. New associations may be formed by the Thai national organization to continue their work in the housing sector.
We are grateful for the past cooperation, helping Thais to have a decent place to live. For the last 10 years, the Thai national organization has helped 14,090 people meet their housing needs and mobilized 9,371 volunteers.
Habitat for Humanity International remains committed to supporting organizations working in the Thai housing sector who share the same vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
