ART Promenade: Thai-Lanna Edition

Now until 30 April 2025 at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok

Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok proudly presents the latest installment of its successful ART Promenade exhibition series, further solidifying the hotel's commitment to celebrating art and craftsmanship. Following two acclaimed exhibitions in 2024, this new Thai-Lanna Edition turns the spotlight on the rich cultural heritage of Lanna—an ancient independent kingdom that once flourished in what is now northern Thailand.

The exhibition celebrates the distinctive Lanna culture, which evolved through a fascinating blend of Thai and Burmese traditions. Visitors can explore this cultural legacy through the diverse works of three renowned artists from the region, each offering their unique artistic interpretation of Lanna's heritage:

Featured Artists

Pornchai Jaima A master artist with deep roots in Lanna traditions, Pornchai's compelling works draw inspiration from the distinctive way of life that characterised Lanna society in past centuries. His pieces offer a window into the cultural richness of northern Thailand's historical identity.

Songdej Thipthong Expertly blending traditional techniques with innovative artistic approaches, Songdej's thoughtful creations reflect the influence of Buddhist faith and everyday life in the Lanna region. His work bridges ancient traditions with contemporary artistic expression.

Arnan Ratchawang-inn Recognised for his powerful explorations of motherhood and spirituality, Arnan's diverse portfolio ranges from evocative depictions of the Rice Goddess to intricate sculptures inspired by Buddhist philosophy, capturing the spiritual essence of Lanna culture.

Charitable Initiative

As Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2025, the ART Promenade initiative will take on additional significance through a special charitable component. Each participating artist from the various ART Promenade editions will donate one artwork for auction, with all proceeds supporting the humanitarian efforts of BE Health Association. This initiative underscores the hotel's ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community welfare throughout Thailand.

The Thai-Lanna Edition of ART Promenade is displayed along the hotel hallway and is open to visitors until 30 April 2025.
