Charoen Pokphand Foods Public Company Limited (CP Foods) has reaffirmed the stability of its nationwide operations following the powerful earthquake in Myanmar that affected parts of Thailand on Friday, 28 March 2025. Prasit Boondoungprasert, Chief Executive Officer of CP Foods, confirmed that comprehensive inspections have been conducted at all operational sites, ensuring there is no disruption to production or distribution.
“All of our facilities remain fully operational, and the company is implementing precautionary measures to safeguard employee welfare and monitor for any further impact,” said Prasit.
CP Foods extended its deepest sympathies to those affected by the disaster. “Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by this devastating earthquake. We stand in solidarity with the affected communities and remain steadfast in our commitment to supporting them during this difficult time,” he added.
In response to the crisis, CP Foods, in collaboration with the 1st Field Artillery Regiment, King’s Guard, has mobilised resources to assist the ongoing search and rescue mission at a collapsed building in Jatujak, Bangkok. The company has supplied operational tents and other equipment to support relief operations at the disaster site.
Through its "Food from the Heart" initiative, CP Foods is providing essential ingredients—including fresh eggs, chicken, and pork—to mobile relief kitchens operated by the Phetkasem Foundation and the Good Deed Organization Foundation. These meals are being prepared for military personnel, engineering teams, field medical staff, disaster relief agencies, rescue volunteers, charitable organisations, and members of the press stationed at the Joint Disaster Relief Command Centre in Jatujak.
CP Foods volunteers are also distributing drinking water and ready-to-eat products such as steamed eggs, hard-boiled eggs, and herbal eggs to ensure sustained support for all emergency responders on-site.
Recognising the vital role of K9 search-and-rescue dogs—specially trained by the Military Animal Department, Police Dog Unit, and USAR Thailand—CP Foods is providing "Jerhigh" pet food and snacks to keep the canines nourished and healthy during their intensive search efforts.
In closing, CP Foods expressed solidarity with all those affected. “We extend our heartfelt support to everyone during this challenging time. Together, we will overcome this hardship with strength and resilience,” the company stated.
