Maurice Lacroix 1975 Collection: A Tribute to Timeless Elegance
Maurice Lacroix is celebrating its 50th anniversary with the launch of the 1975 Collection, a series of new timepieces inspired by the brand’s heritage, featuring both automatic and quartz movements. This collection exudes elegance and sophistication, offering a vintage appeal fused with modern charm. Though newly designed, each piece retains the unmistakable Maurice Lacroix identity—refined, elegant, and of exceptional value.
Your Time is Now with MAURICE LACROIX
Since its founding in 1975, Maurice Lacroix has seamlessly blended urban style with Swiss craftsmanship, emphasising innovation and high value. Based in the heart of the Franches-Montagnes region, the manufacture has consistently demonstrated horological excellence, producing both in-house movements and pioneering designs. Notable creations such as the Masterpiece Square Wheel (2010), Masterpiece Mysterious Seconds (2013), and Triple Rétrograde (2021) have garnered acclaim among collectors, winning over 15 prestigious awards.
Following the revival of the iconic Calypso in 2014 and the successful launch of the AIKON collection in 2016, Maurice Lacroix continues to captivate younger generations with watches designed for contemporary urban life.
Vintage Inspiration, Modern Sensibility
The 1975 Collection embodies this ethos, appealing to modern tastes while paying homage to classic design. The brand’s creative team has reinterpreted Les Classiques—a line originally introduced in 1988—into a retro-modern series using luxurious new materials. These timepieces are designed to attract urbanites seeking both style and substance.
Available in a range of sizes, dial colours, and strap options, each model is crafted to suit diverse lifestyles while maintaining a sleek, timeless appeal.
Timeless Aesthetics, Crafted for Choice
The Maurice Lacroix 1975 Automatic is offered in 36 mm and 40 mm cases, while the Quartz model comes in a 39 mm case, catering to both mechanical and battery-powered preferences. Both versions are available in blue, black, or silver dials. The signature dauphine hour and minute hands, combined with trapezoidal hour markers, are hand-finished and polished, with selected elements adorned with diamonds. A sunbrushed dial texture plays beautifully with light, and date windows are placed at 3 o’clock for automatic and 6 o’clock for quartz models.
Swiss Craftsmanship Meets Urban Design
Each timepiece in the 1975 Collection features a “Masterpiece Specification” case, dextrously blending brushed and polished surfaces. The five-row steel bracelet—equipped with a folding clasp—mirrors this refined detail, while coordinated leather strap options are fitted with Maurice Lacroix’s Easy Strap Interchange System, allowing effortless personalisation. Despite mechanical differences, both automatic and quartz models share a common case and bracelet design, ensuring stylistic cohesion across the line.
A Legacy in Motion
“When we created the 1975 Collection, we sought to represent the essence of Maurice Lacroix through innovative, modern and timeless timepieces,” said Stéphane Waser, Managing Director of Maurice Lacroix. “This collection embodies everything we stand for—celebrating 50 years of craftsmanship and innovation.”
