
Mr. Chayanont Ulit, Managing Director of The Studio Park (Thailand) Co., Ltd., said that the company was deeply honoured to host a delegation of 70 representatives from the Department of International Trade Promotion worldwide including the United States of America, Canada, Mexico, Chile, Argentina, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Russia, Denmark, Austria, Spain, Czech Republic, Hungary, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, and South Africa. Additionally, representatives from the Thailand Film Office (TFO) visited the operations of The Studio Park, a soundstage provider and Thailand’s largest filming location, which spans 345,600 square meters in Samut Prakan.
"The Studio Park has five large, high-standard soundstage studios that accommodate both domestic and international clients, including “Figment Studio,” a virtual studio featuring Southeast Asia’s most cutting-edge and comprehensive virtual production technology. It can create the most seamless combination of virtual and real-life visuals, enhancing Thailand’s production work to be on par with an internationally leading studio. The remaining four studios can be customized to meet the diverse production needs. The company has developed and increased filming locations to accommodate various customer requirements, providing a filming location with stunning natural scenery and a modern urban setting, and offering filming, advertising, and television equipment rental. The Studio Park has hosted numerous Hollywood and international film productions".
Mr. Chayanont continued, stating that The Studio Park values collaboration with leading domestic and international film and television production companies to create business opportunities, expand opportunities, and promote knowledge and technology exchange to advance Thailand’s film industry as a Soft Power on a global scale, establishing Thailand as a premier destination for international film productions.
Ms. Yajai Wattanapreeda, Professional-Level Tourism Development Officer and a representative from the Thailand Film Office (TFO), said that she was delighted to welcome the Department of International Trade Promotion delegations worldwide to visit The Studio Park, an international standard studio providing full-service production, the first of its kind in Thailand. She highlighted Thailand's readiness and potential as a prime destination for foreign film productions, outlining the procedures for obtaining filming permits and providing details on the maximum 30% cash rebate for foreign film crews. The Department of International Trade Promotion delegations showed great interest, recognizing the value of this information to the work of their officials stationed abroad. This will promote Thailand as a filming location for foreign film productions, significantly boosting the film industry, economy, and tourism.
Mr. Li Zheng, representative from the Department of International Trade Promotion in China, said he was impressed with his observational journey to The Studio Park. He observed that Thailand's film industry is large and fully equipped in all aspects, capable of accommodating film crews worldwide. Following this visit, efforts will be made to invite Chinese film producers to film in Thailand, which is expected to generate significantly more interest.
