MQDC has conducted thorough safety checks across all 17 of its projects following the recent earthquake, engaging external specialists in a four-step process:
- Preliminary inspection: MQDC engineers carried out an initial review of building structures and found no significant damage. This inspection was completed by 29 March.
- Detailed structural inspection: Between 29 March and 2 April, MQDC engineers conducted in-depth checks across all projects. These included assessments of structures, architecture, fire safety systems, lifts, electrical and communications systems, plumbing, and swimming pools. No structural damage affecting safety was identified.
- Inspection with external experts: MQDC enlisted four external specialists to support its assessments:
-
- INFRA Group – engineering and architectural design consultant
- Stonehenge – construction design and project manager
- KCS & Associates – engineering design and construction manager
- C-Insight – structural engineering specialist
The joint inspection was conducted from 29 March to 3 April.
-
Inspection under BMA regulations: A further check will be carried out in accordance with Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) guidelines via Google Forms.
MQDC will coordinate with insurers to assist residents in making claims and will undertake repairs to restore original architectural finishes where necessary.
The safety of residents remains MQDC’s top priority, ensuring they can return to their daily routines with peace of mind as soon as possible.
