Following the recent 7.7-magnitude earthquake centred in Myanmar, which caused tremors and structural damage across Thailand—particularly to high-rise buildings—TOA Paint (Thailand) Public Company Limited, or TOA, has announced a series of support initiatives in collaboration with the real estate sector. As a leading manufacturer and specialist in surface protection materials, construction chemicals, tiles, and gypsum boards, TOA has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the public during this challenging time, including a policy to maintain current product pricing.

TOA, in partnership with real estate sector allies, has dispatched expert teams to assess damage in buildings and provide advice on repairing cracks and surface issues. In addition, the company is distributing a special handbook for citizens titled “Repair After the Earthquake,” offering practical guidance for non-structural damage.

Mr.Jatuphat Tangkaravakoon, Chief Executive Officer of TOA, stated: “The earthquake has caused widespread damage, including cracked walls, detached tiles, and ceiling panel issues—particularly in high-rise buildings and condominiums. TOA understands the burden this places on homeowners, residents, and property owners. We confirm that we will not raise product prices, in order to ease the financial burden of repairs.”

He added that TOA is ramping up production to meet urgent market needs and ensuring the availability of key repair products nationwide. These include paints, construction chemicals, tiles, and gypsum boards. A special promotional campaign, “Filling Cracks with TOA Home Expert,” is also underway at major modern trade outlets to facilitate convenient access to high-quality repair materials.

In addition, TOA has partnered with real estate firms to send teams of technical experts to conduct on-site inspections in Bangkok. These teams are advising residents on appropriate repair methods for non-structural damage, reinforcing safety and peace of mind.

To further assist the public, TOA is distributing printed and digital versions of its earthquake repair manual. The guide includes solutions for various types of cracks—small, hairline, large, diagonal, and precast wall cracks—as well as peeling plaster, tiled floor and wall damage, and detached gypsum boards. Recommended TOA products include TOA Acrylic Filler, TOA Polyurethane Sealant, TOA Silicone Sealant GP, TOA 102 D-Coat, TOA PU Foam Spray, and others.

“This initiative is launched to support earthquake-affected residents and ease their burdens,” Mr.Jatuphat concluded. “We believe that through collaboration across all sectors, we will overcome this crisis together.”
