Siam Piwat Group, a leading real estate and retail developer and the owner and operator of iconic destinations including Siam Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, and co-owner of ICONSIAM and Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok, has been honoured by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to host the “BIMSTEC Young Gen Forum: Where the Future Meets” at ICONSIAM, Bangkok’s global riverside landmark.
The forum is a side event of the BIMSTEC Summit 2025, hosted by Thailand from April 2–4, 2025, at the Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok, under the framework of the Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (BIMSTEC).
Being selected as the venue for this high-profile international event reflects the confidence of governmental and international bodies in Siam Piwat’s role as a connector of people, culture, and economies. The initiative reaffirms Siam Piwat’s position as “The Visionary Icon,” committed to hosting world-class events that contribute to regional innovation and development.
ICONSIAM continues to strengthen Thailand’s image as a hub of creativity, innovation, and economic opportunity, while serving as a prestigious venue for international conferences and gatherings. The forum has attracted more than 300 participants from across the BIMSTEC member states, providing a platform to build academic and business networks while showcasing Thailand’s regional leadership on the global stage.
Held from April 2–3, 2025, the BIMSTEC Young Gen Forum convenes youth leaders and emerging entrepreneurs from the seven member countries—India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan, Myanmar, Bangladesh, and Nepal. Participants will exchange ideas and experiences on key issues shaping the region, including connectivity, trade and investment, science and innovation, agriculture and food security, climate change, security, and cyber resilience.
A highlight of the event is a special keynote address by H.E. Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Chairperson of the Advisory Board to the Government of Bangladesh. His address will focus on sustainable economic and social development through innovative thinking and inclusive growth.
BIMSTEC plays a pivotal role in advancing international cooperation among Bay of Bengal countries, emphasising regional economic, technological, and social progress. Thailand’s leadership as this year’s host reinforces its standing as Asia’s economic gateway, committed to empowering the next generation of regional leaders.
