A new canopy walkway has been launched at Mae Fah Luang Garden of the Doi Tung Development Project in Chiang Rai.
Called "Doi Tung Tree Top Walk", the path is 295m-long and has the maximum height at 30m above the ground. Visitors will have a chance to have a birds-eye view over green areas including coffee plantation and wild orchids.
To ensure visitor safety, each guest is required to wear safety gears including helmet, climbing belt hooked to a lifeline before stepping on the Tree Top Walk. The number of visitors for each round is limited to 13 people. One round may last about 30 minutes.
The service is open daily from 8.30am-5pm. The fee is 150 baht for adults, excluding a 90 baht entrance fee to Mae Fah Luang Garden. Children who are below the age of 12 or shorter than 120cm cannot join the programme.

Don Mueang airport to get boost
The Airports of Thailand plans to invest 27 billion baht to expand Don Mueang International Airport.
The investment will increase the capacity to handle a total number of passengers from 30 million visitors a year to 40 million in 2021, according to Don Mueang airport director Petch Chancharoen.
The expansion will include new aircraft parking bays which will increase from 101 to 148 bays within the next five years. There will also be a terminal to support BTS Bang Sue-Rangist red line and Airport Rail Link extension between Don Mueang Airport and Phaya Thai stations, as well as build new car park buildings for 3,000 vehicles.
New shopping complex
J.S.P. Property will officially launch Miami Bay Side Bangpu, a shopping complex, as a new attraction in Bang Pu, Samut Prakan, tomorrow.
The project is part of a billion baht mixed use property called Miami Bangpu. It is located on a 120 rai plot of land on Sukhumvit Road (Highway 3) and a short drive from the Ancient City.
The property consists of condominiums with 5,000 units, a 384-room hotel, a 35 rai shopping complex including food outlets and a 50m-high Ferris wheel.
The company expects tourists to spend more time or at least a night stay in Samut Prakan.
Airlines update
Thai AirAsia has launched "AirAsia Paint the Sky Junior" contest.
The competition is open to children between the ages of six-12 to come up with a new livery for aircraft after the success of "Paint the Sky With Amazing Thailand", a joint AirAsia and Tourism Authority of Thailand design competition open to the general public.
"The activity provides a similar opportunity to children, for them to decorate an aeroplane," said Thai AirAsia Branding Manager Thanyaporn Vongsritrakarn.
To take part in the contest, applicants need to download the aeroplane template from www.airasia.com/th/th/paint-the-sky-junior.page or from the souvenir store of Kidzania Bangkok on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon.
The contest is categorised into two groups -- for children between the ages of six and nine and for children between the ages of 10 and 12. Applicants can use any types of colours they wish to create their design and show the destination they want to visit with AirAsia. The last day for submission is on August 31.
The best submissions for "AirAsia Paint the Sky Junior" will be exhibited at Kidzania Bangkok. Winners will be divided into four groups for kids living in the North, the Northeast, the South and the Central region.
Names of the winners will be announced on Sept 9 at the website and at Kidzania Bangkok. The winner of each region will receive 10,000 baht cash prize, a round-trip ticket for two to one of Thai AirAsia's destinations in the Kingdom and four tickets to Kidzania.

Thai Airways has last week launched special flights to bring pilgrims to perform the hajj pilgrimage in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
The airline will run nine flights from Hat Yai and four flights from Narathiwat to Medina, the world's second holiest city for Muslim people.
THAI uses Airbus A330-300 aircraft and expects to serve up to 3,757 passengers in total. All 13 flights will serve halal food certified by HAL-Q standard.
